Online applications are invited by University of Kashmir from pass outs of the Department of Food Science and Technology, University of Kashmir, Srinagar and from Research Organizations / Academic Institutes / Industries / Departmental sponsored candidates for Ph.D 2011-12.

Eligibility:

• The candidates having obtained MPhil degree with at least B grade shall be eligible for admission to PhD programme.

• Provided that the following categories of candidates shall be eligible for direct admission to PhD programme:

1. candidates having qualified JRF from National Examining Bodies,
2.  candidates having passed PG in Engineering / MTech / MS / MSc Engineering / MPharma / LLM with at least 55% marks.
3.  Secretaries / Directors or Officers of the equivalent cadre / College / School teachers with at least 15 years’ experience on substantive basis.
4. candidates having secured at least 65% of marks at the master level in the subject concerned / allied subject.

• The candidates under above category 1,2 and 3 shall be exempted from appearing in the entrance test while the candidates under category 4 shall be required to appear and pass entrance test examination with at least 60% marks.

Selection procedure: A written test constituting of 70 marks objective paper and 30 marks descriptive paper.

• The auto generated application form and Bank paying slip are to be downloaded and their printout taken.
• Application fee of Rs. 250.00 is to be deposited in account No. SB 53049 to- any FINACLE operated Branches of J&K Bank.
• Send the completed auto generated application form along with the University copy of the pay-in-slip and relevant certificates shall be received in the office of the concerned Department.
