Pay scale: Rs. 18750 + Grade Pay Rs. 6600/- + NPA plus other allowances , For Non-Medical Candidates Rs. 16740+ Grade Pay Rs. 5400/- + other allowances

Eligibility:
Senior Residents for Medical Candidates

• A postgraduate degree viz. MD/MS/MHA/MDS in the respective discipline from a recognized University/Institute.

For the Post of Geriatric Medicine

• A postgraduate degree viz. MD in Geriatric Medicine or MD in Medicine from a recognized University/Institute.

For the Post of Pulmonary Medicine & Sleep Disorder

• A postgraduate degree viz. MD in Medicine or MD in Respiratory Medicine from a recognized University/Institute.

For the Post of Emergency Medicine

• A postgraduate degree viz. MD in Medicine from a recognized University/Institute.

For Non-Medical Candidates

• The candidate shall possess an M.Sc in the subject concerned and
• Ph.D in the subject concerned/allied subject from a recognized University/Institute

Qualifications for the post of Laboratory Medicine

• MD in Laboratory Medicine / Pathology / Microbiology / Biochemistry from a recognized University / Institute.
• Senior Demonstrators in Radio-Therapy/Medical Physics and Senior Demonstrators in Medical Physics (IRCH): M.Sc in Medical Physics with one year experience or its equivalent recognized qualification or M.Sc in Physics with Diploma in Radiological Physics (in the pay scale of Rs.6500-200-6900/- (Pre-revised) and revised Rs.12,090+4200 (GP)+other usual Allowance.
• However, at the event of having M.Sc with Ph.D candidates available the pay scale will be as in the case of Non-Medical candidates at (b) above.U

Note:

• The candidates who have qualified their P.G Degree/Ph.D. exam. by January 30, 2012 are eligible to apply provided they complete their tenure of Junior Resident by January 30, 2012.
• The candidates who are in service in any Govt. Hospital/ Institutions are required to submit their application through proper channel. The candidates will not be permitted for Examination/ Interview if their applications are not routed through proper channel (EMPLOYER).

Upper Age Limit (As on January 5, 2012)

• Senior Resident and Senior Demonstrators 33 years, relaxable for SC/ST candidate upto for SC/ST candidate upto a maximum period of five years, in the case of OBC candidates upto a maximum period of three years”. In the case of Orthopaedic Physical Handicapped (OPH) candidates upto maximum period of 5 years for General Category, 8 years for OBC category and 10 years for SC/ST category candidates.
• 35 years for those who are appointed as Senior Residents after completing DM/M.Ch Courses. The age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC candidates.

Selection process: On the basis of written test and interview.

Application fee: General / OBC Category: Rs.1000/- (SC/ST Category: Rs.800/- + Transaction Charges as applicable. Payment through computer generated Challan Form in any branch of State Bank of India (SBI). The candidates are required to bring AIIMS copy of Challan Form at the time of examination along with Admit Card and must hand over the AIIMS copy of Challan to the Invigilator, failing which their candidature will not be considered.
