Jamia Research Fellowship for Science disciplines


Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD) declared Jamia Hamdard as a ‘Deemed to be University’ on the recommendations of the University Grants Commission.

Subject: Pharmaceutical research (all fields), biotechnology (plant biotechnology, vaccinology), biochemistry (protein biochemistry, liver disorders and their prevention),  botany (plant molecular biology; plant physiology, medicinal plants), toxicology (cancer chemoprevention, neurotoxicology, ecotoxicology), chemistry (medicinal chemistry, natural product chemistry), nanomedicine, clinical research and or any other discipline of research at Jamia Hamdard.

Eligibility:

• Ph.D. in relevant field from a recognized University.
• At least two years’ post-doctoral experience in an international laboratory in a scientifically advanced country.
• At least 5 publications with impact factor 2 or above.
• Interest in teaching

Age limit: Below 45 years, can be relaxed in case of women researchers or persons with physically challenged condition.


Emoluments:

• Rs. 50,000 pm + House rent allowance or accommodation on campus.
• Research grant- Rs. 50,000 per annum.

How to apply:

• The selection will be on basis of nomination by the Vice Chancellors of Universities, Directors of the national laboratories, Secretaries of Government of India Departments concerned with research and development, and eminent scholars from India and abroad.
