Programme: HSCST Fellowship Programme
Duration: 5 years (maximum)
Subject Area: Life Sciences, Physical sciences, Chemical sciences, Mathematical sciences and Earth atmospheric Ocean & planetary sciences.
Eligibility: M.Sc. or equivalent degree in any of the subjects in above broad subject areas with minimum 55% marks, and should have opted for CSIR-JRF (NET) and were able to qualify eligibility test for Lecturership-NET in joint CSIR-UGC test for JRF and LS (NET) held on December 19, 2011. Candidates availing fellowship/ financial assistance from any other source will not be eligible.
Age Limit:
For JRF: 28 years (upper age limit) as on July 1, 2010. (5 years relaxation in age for SC/ST, women, physically handicapped and OBC candidates)
Stipend & Tenure: Rs. 12,000/- p.m. for a period of first 2 years as Junior Research Fellow (JRF) and Rs 14,000/- p.m. as Senior Research Fellow (SRF) for 3rd and subsequent year subject to terms and conditions alongwith annual contingent grants or Rs. 20,000/- to the University/ Institution. Tenure of the Fellowship will be 3 year extendable to 4th and 5th year as per terms & condition of the programme.
